As usual, we combed the web for a retailer who had a good range, good prices and good customer service. The obvious choice would have been Amazon but, whenever we've been looking to buy books there, we've nearly always ended up using one of their 'Marketplace' sellers - ie separate companies who list their books on Amazon. One that has often come up with the best price - and who we've been very happy with - is Pickabook
Pickabook has been rated a 5-star online bookshop by eShops. They offer over 5 million books from stock, large discounts, same-day despatch, low-price postage and delivery to addresses worldwide. Ordering from their site is quick and easy and Pickabook“s website also includes lots of interesting information for book lovers.
Their rating on Amazon is 4.7 out of 5 (for the past 12 months). Over the time that they have been listing on Amazon, they've received just over 1800 ratings from customers - with 95% positive, 2% neutral and 3% negative. This compares favourably with Amazon's own rating of 93.61% at the consumer feedback site www.iXat.net.
Plus, we always like to choose a smaller company - as long as their prices and service are exemplary - rather than one of the internet goliaths.
