Established in 1999, and launched as a live entity in January of 2000, IWOOT (as we have become known) has grown to become one of the UK's leading on-line retailers. It all started in a pub, was set up in a bedroom with one laptop a phone, a modem, and a cat, and now has offices in London, and a vast bespoke (and highly efficient) warehouse in Manchester.
We work in an environment that is constantly having to evolve and adapt to both emerging technology, and a changing marketplace. The culture and ethos of our brand runs through every part of the company, even the filler in the parcels we send out is 'on brand'. We are here entirely for the benefit of our customers, and our goal is to consistently strive to over-perform for them. We're not content with being the best, so much as revelling in trying to be even better.
We spend a great deal of time scouring the planet for stuff we think you'll really, really want. We probably look at not far off ten thousand products every year, and from that boil it down to a few hundred that we think are really good.
We aim to launch about 40 new products every month (this goes up and down depending on the glut or dearth of products out there, and the time of year). Our goal is to provide you with a truly great collection of fun, interesting and novel products that you'd be hard pushed to find in one place anywhere else on earth.
Once we've got our hands on them we strive to ensure you see them at their very best, that we write about them clearly and often stupidly, that you can see videos of them where possible, and read customer reviews - to get someone else's opinion.
We then ensure that shopping for them is easy and quick, that the prices are as keen as we can make them, and that they are delivered to you in perfect condition and so fast you'll scarcely believe it.
Our Customer Services team are award winning and our pride and joy. They will look after you every step of the way, and are more than happy to give you advice (though not on cooking) and help you with any problems you may encounter (though that doesn't happen often). If we do something wrong, we'll fix it fast, and make sure it doesn't happen again. If we'd never made any mistakes we wouldn't be as good as we are now, and nor would we be so good at fixing them!
The only reason we're here is for our customers, and we never forget that.
The phrase 'Mission Statement' is all a bit Business Speak, and not very IWOOT at all, but for want of a more casual description, here is ours.
- We are not the biggest or flashiest company, but we are the best at what we do
- We believe in attention to detail and the nitty gritty of doing a job well
- We believe in treating people as individuals
- We believe in proving the coolest products and the very best in customer service
- We believe that great ideas can come from anyone, and we commit to supporting them whether they succeed or not
- We believe in being informal, but professional
- We believe in growing a successful and profitable company
- We believe in looking after each other

Experiences & Adventures (at ThanksDarling.com)
Here are just a few of the excellent gifts, gadgets and toys on the site -
Already an entry in the Guinness Book of Records as the World's smallest humanoid robot in production, the I Sobot is a bi-pedal walking, talking, dancing, kung fu-ing, voice-activated toy of the future. With a staggering 17 custom developed servo-motors, 19 integrated circuit chips, 2 LEDs, voice command recognition, a built-in gyro-sensor, the ability to speak hundreds of words and phrases, perform pre-programmed actions, and with over 90 sound effects and five built in songs makes this one heck of a hi-tech robot. It can also dance, walk, kung fu with the best of them, and even act like a pissed droid.
The I Sobot's balance is second to none, really setting it apart from other robots out there. The 'bot has an RC with LCD screen and is a breeze to control despite it's impressive repertoire, with four basic operating modes to show him off to the full. He's small enough to sit in the palm of your hand, and yet is so packed with deeply clever tech stuff you'll be playing with him forever. Get him to do push-ups (preferable to having to do them yourself), perform kung-fu moves, walk around, obey your voice commands, play songs, and generally amaze everyone who sees him. He looks like a robot, feels like a friend, and even has a little light on his bonce. We love him. Click here to look at this great gift. |

Freeline skates are the latest boarding craze to flip over here from the states.
Freelining is, without doubt, the coolest skating experience there is.
It combines the feel of boarding and skating in one high adrenalin multi-trick busting sport.
Snowboarding and surfing are amazing hobbies, but unless you are blessed with Malibu beaches or the Alps as your back garden, they can often become a much neglected pastime. The Freeline Skates are great for boarders, who can use the same skills as they would on water or on the slopes ... only on dry land. They're made from aluminium so are super tough and yet lightweight, and can be used by pros and first timers alike. To really 'get' why these are so darn radical and amazing you should watch the video that shows you just what you can do on them. Aside from their extreme cred, they're a joy to carry around compared with the bulk and drag of lugging a board about. Freelining is the next big thing, watch the streets! The name Black Ghost immediately conjures up an image of elegance, a sense of foreboding and a shiver of excitement.
More or less exactly the experience you'll get from flying this remarkable helicopter.
Not far off looking like an Apache helicopter (if you squint a bit) but sadly without the weaponry, this tiny little powerhouse is so astonishingly stable even an idiot can fly it. We tested it on one of our idiots in the IWOOT office just to make sure. As well as being an easy flyer it's also pretty darn resilient along with full altitude and directional control plus a super steady forward motion. It charges up from the remote (which takes 6 AA batteries) and you should get at least 10 mins flying time before it needs another charge. This really is the most stable and controllable little helicopter we've ever played with - and we've played with a lot (it's important research you know). This well and truly rocks. It may be Stealth in name, but the Stealth Speed Boat is far from stealth by nature - screaming along at an astonishing 30kmh!
This big sexy black beast is 73cm long and all power.
Unlike the petrol driven pro-RC models that take hours of tinkering with for just a few moments of enjoyment, the Stealth Speed Boat will dash round your local pond at ludicrous speeds for up to half an hour from a single charge - no doubt terrorising all and sundry, and leaving all other RCs (and quite a few ducks) floundering pathetically in its wake. The twin motors make steering amazingly responsive (it'll turn on a sixpence), and a clever safety feature ensures that the props won't spin when they're out of the water - so you won't be picking your fingers out of the pond. We've already said how fast it is, but have we really got that across? Because even though we knew it was fast, we had no idea what "really fast" actually looked like until we saw this thing go. Heck if it had wings it would have taken off, and the local hot shot ducks were depressed enough already without giving them even more of an inferiority complex. Of course, aside from shaming the local wildfowl, there was the sweet enjoyment of watching the RC nuts with their £100 boats turning green with envy and sulking over their thermoses. Enter Piano Hands, the piano you can play anywhere.
If only someone had said, when your parents tried to get you to take piano lessons, that you could wear a pair of cool neoprene gloves and play anywhere without the need for a keyboard!
Sensors on the fingertips of these natty gloves trigger the piano notes that play through the attached speaker. You get an octave out of your digits (well, eight of them anyway one would have thought) and to shift up an octave you just press the heel of your hand on whatever surface you're playing on. As well as the classical piano sound, there are seven other instruments, such as guitar, soulful trumpet, and of course a drum kit, literally at your fingertips. Brilliant and a whole heap of fun. The Savile Row Company is based in the heart of Savile Row and has been making finely tailored shirts since 1938. A family company of medium size, Savile Row now designs and produces an extensive range of clothing and accessories for Men and Women - all crafted to the highest standard of quality and workmanship. The Savile Row Company brand is sold in over 30 countries worldwide.
The company initially manufactured and provided quality clothes to many famous London department stores. Sadly, the factory was completely destroyed during the Blitz. Yet, only a year after the War ended, the business was re-started with a new focus on men’s wear. We moved our manufacturing over to Northern Ireland and enjoyed even greater success, continuing to supply large, countrywide chain stores, independent retailers as well as individual firms established and operating on Savile Row.
When we opened our own flagship store at 40 Savile Row, we decided to shift the emphasis of the business to selling directly to the public. Since then we’re proud to say we have built up an incredibly successful ‘direct’ business. Our mail order and e-commerce operations go from strength to strength and the ‘Made to Measure’ service offered at 40 Savile Row has never been more popular.
During the most recent 5 years we have invested in excess of £1m in state of the art manufacturing and information systems in order to bring a world class quality product.
This Autumn also sees the launch of our new Women’s Wear range - an exquisite range of versatile, femininely tailored garments with a contemporary twist.
By supplying direct from our own Warehouse, we are able to minimise costs and pass these savings onto our Customers. The result is that we sell at prices much lower than one would associate with such superb tailoring.
The Savile Row Company is linked through product licensing arrangements to some of the finest textile producers in the World and together with our technical expertise and design skills we're honoured to bring you luxury clothes and affordable prices.
